If the vehicle passes, the Certificate of Roadworthiness is automatically posted to the registered owner of the vehicle. This certificate is proof that a vehicle met a set of basic safety requirements on the day it passed its test. Tests take between 45 and 120 minutes depending on the type of vehicle being tested and the number of axles. Failure to do so could result in a delay in the issuing of a Certificate of Roadworthiness. The presenter of the vehicle is now required to produce Presenter ID in the form of a valid drivers licence or passport. Customers present the vehicle at the chosen CVRT Test centre.
